    The option name is actually cifs.symlinks.enable

    You may also need to look at cifs.symlinks.cycleguard if the symlinks start with
    . or ..

    Also you may need to create/modify /etc/symlink.translations if the path the
    unix clients follow is not the same path the filer would have to follow.

    See the manpages for options and symlink.translations for more detail.
