I'll chime in here too... our first Netapp (an F220) went into
production about April 1997 and we're up to a dozen production filers
now. I vaguely remember diddling with `wacky' a long time ago, but it
was more out of curiousity (playing on a test filer) than anything
else. I've purposely removed drives, powered down shelves, unplugged
FC-AL cables, flipped the filer's power on and off rapidly, etc. and
never had to run wack, much less lose a filesystem.
