      Yes. But certain configurations of 7.0 do *not* have that problem.
      I have user quotas under a qtree in a traditional volume that show the
      "correct" answer when the user runs "df", meaning the user sees their
      partition sized to their quota.

    It sounds like it does the behavior you describe if the user has a user
    quota inside of a mounted qtree (with a quota?). I do not see this when
    mounting a volume directly. This sounds like the difference in the
    behavior.

    What confuses me is how it should behave when a user has a complex
    combination of quotas that apply to a qtree, a user, and several
    group quotas. Choosing the smallest quota may be the most conservative
    answer but by no means is it necessarily the correct choice and can
    be more misleading than helpful.
